Meet Dr. Monika Pogoda
I am deeply passionate about helping patients feel confident and proud of their smiles. I love working closely with my patients to truly understand what they want to change, what concerns or anxieties they may have, and what will genuinely make a meaningful difference for them. To me, cosmetic dentistry is about far more than appearance; it’s about restoring confidence, balance, and function while maintaining a natural look that still feels like you.
Equally important to me is the overall patient experience. I find great fulfillment in taking the time to explain treatment options clearly and creating an environment where patients feel heard, respected, and at ease. Helping someone feel comfortable, especially those who have experienced dental anxiety or past negative experiences, is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.
What I value most in dentistry is building trust. Seeing the transformation that happens when patients feel understood, whether that means easing anxiety, restoring comfort, or helping someone smile with confidence again, is incredibly meaningful to me. Being part of that journey is a privilege I don’t take lightly.
Education and Professional Experience
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Fordham University, followed by my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University College of Dentistry. I then completed a general dentistry residency at NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens, where I further refined my clinical skills and patient-centered approach to care.
Dentistry is constantly evolving, and I strongly believe my patients deserve care that reflects current best practices, not outdated methods. I am committed to ongoing education so I can thoughtfully expand services, enhance treatment planning, and incorporate advancements that truly improve patient outcomes and experiences.

Family, Life, and Community
Family plays a significant role in who we are and how we approach our practice. My husband, Rafi Attias, works in technology as a sales manager in NYC and is actively involved behind the scenes, supporting the vision and growth of our practice. Together, we are building something that reflects our shared values of trust, compassion, and long-term relationships. Our family also includes our three-year-old dachshund, Misia, who is very much the star of our household. She brings so much joy, humor, and warmth into our everyday life.
Outside of dentistry, I enjoy spending time outdoors and exploring creative outlets. You’ll often find me taking long walks in the park with Misia, as well as painting, taking piano lessons, and staying active through Pilates.
Being involved in the community is important to me because we chose to move to Freehold with the intention of truly building a life here, not just working here. This practice is part of the community, and I believe in being present, supportive, and engaged beyond the walls of the office.
Meet Misia, our unofficial office mascot

Misia is part of our extended family. While she is not an official office dog, you may occasionally hear her barking during a walk outside or catch a glimpse of her passing by the window. On especially lucky days, she may even stop by briefly.
She adds a little personality and charm to the space and reflects what we value most: warmth, authenticity, and a welcoming environment that feels human and real.
